How long do my files stay on the server?

Files are stored indefinitely on both the 'Free' and 'Premium' accounts. We may, at our sole discretion, remove blocks of files uploaded by free accounts which are over 1 month old to free up diskspace when deemed necessary. These files will appear as 'expired' in your control panel and must be re-uploaded. Files uploaded to premium accounts are not removed.

What type of files can I upload?

On a premium account, all file types are allowed with the exception of HTML or PHP. On a 'Free' account, only JPEG images can be uploaded.

Who do I contact if I'm having a problem?

If you're having difficulty with your Free or Premium account, please use the support form, located here and linked from the main menu.

I'm not based in the UK. Can I still use the service?

Members from outside of the United Kingdom are more than welcome on UploadIt.org. If you'd like to upgrade to a Premium account, you may need to ensure that Paypal will process your payment. See Paypal.com for further information. We regret that we can not accept cheques or money orders in foreign currencies.

Why do I have to give personal details to sign up?

We require all members to give personal details to combat improper use of UploadIt accounts. We do not sell or distribute your information and it is kept securely on our systems.

Is there a bandwidth/transfer restriction?

There is no official restriction on bandwidth usage. However, we reserve the right to terminate an account if it is using so much bandwidth that it is slowing down our server and causing problems for other users.

How do I pay my membership fee? What happens next?

When you sign up for a premium account or upgrade, you will be transferred automatically to a secure page on Paypal.com. There you can either enter your credit card details or Paypal account details if applicable. Once payment is completed, your account will be activated immediately. If you are currently logged into your UploadIt account, you may need to log out and back in again for the changes to take effect.

How long will my account last?

UploadIt.org accounts are kept active indefinitely. Your premium membership will last for the period of 1 year at a cost of $9.95. Once that year is up, you will be given the opportunity to renew your account. If you choose not to renew your account, it will revert back to a 'Free' account.
